Price Editor Stock Symbol Question

It's in the Tools->Security Editor
Hard to say without seeing the entries, but it could be
(a) A wrong symbol for the security
(b) The wrong symbol for the particular source you're using. For example, if
I recall, Berkshire Hathaway class B could be BRK.B or BRKB, or BRK-B,
depending upon where I get a quote.
(c) The source called for in the security editor doesn't supply quotes for
the particular type of security you're interested in.

Best bet is to attempt to get the data using the utility program:

     gnc-fq-dump [source] [symbol]

for example "gnc-fq-dump yahoo AMAT"

It'll tell you if you've got the right source and symbol combo.
