Okay. I've upgraded to SuSE Linux 9.0 and GnuCash 1.8.7. I still have the same problem as with the older setup, i.e. I cannot save my work. (The tutorial and help files did show up, however, although GnuCash still can't find it on startup.) Whichever way I try to save my work (Save, Save As, Exit), I get essentially the same error message:

The file /home/dhenson/.gnucash/data/Documents/Accounting/TCRF/TCRF cannot be found.

I've looked thru the help files, specifically "Getting Started" and "Customizing GnuCash". I cannot find anything related to setting default files or saving to a custom file. I have no idea what to try next. Is there a configuration file that I can look at? Am I missing something simple? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
