I have gone a step further and uninstalled Mandrake 10.1 Community and
re-installed Mandrake 10.0 Final. The invoice spacing is now fixed and
displays properly in a #10 windowed envelope. I have noticed that
Mandrake 10.1 Community uses Xorg rather than Xfree ... I wonder if
this is causing the double spacing or whether the choice of fonts is
the cause? Maybe this will be fixed in the next final release of
Mandrake 10.1.<br>
<br>
Would there be a case made for making line spacing an issue for
GnuCash? This rather than being left at the mercy of the various Linux
productions?<br>
<br>
Otherwise ... back to my invoicing! GnuCash is a great product!<br>
<br>
Cheers<br>

<pre wrap="">Well, I use Red Hat 9, not Mandrake, so I don't know what to tell you.
I'm frankly not surprised that a reinstall didn't fix the problem.
Yes, I get the same options you do, and when I select 'generic
postscript' it doesn't double-space (although my fonts look pretty
bad). I've never seen (nor heard of) this "double space" problem.

<pre wrap="">Hi Derek:
I have done a system re-install and no changes. When you go to print ... do you
have the same print options as I have listed below? ... or do you have your printer
showing?

GnuCash uses gnome-print for the printing. It definitely does not use
CUPS (at least not directly). I don't know what to tell you, it's
working fine for me.

Hi Derek:
I am just taking a closer look at the printer options in Gnucash ... does Gnucash
use CUPS for printing? The options I have under print are:
Generic Postscript
Generic Postscript, print to file
Fax driver, (via gfax)
Fax driver, save to file
PDF writer
I have tried other accounts and they are double spaced as well.
I have a Canon BJC-4100 working on CUPS and am running: Linux Mandrake 10.1

Hmm, they aren't double-spaced in my reports... Are they
double-spaced in the "printable invoice" window in gnucash before you
try printing them?

When I print my invoices they are double spaced. Is there any way to
correct this? I am trying to fit my invoice addresses into a #10

Thanks for any help.
