18:29:04 <wolfemi1> Okay all, I'm still kind of new to Gnucash, but I love it so far. I'm using the Windows version, and I'm having problems getting my Citistreet accounts set up. I've turned on logging, and it looks like the OFX Direct Connect part of Gnucash is sending the right information, but it's not getting any response from their server.
18:29:04 <gncbot> wolfemi1: Sent 4 days, 18 hours, and 50 minutes ago: <dbreiser> Control Panel/System, Advanced tab has an Environmental Variables button. Click it and add AQOFX_LOG_COMM to the list
18:30:43 <wolfemi1> There are two main things that are different between the Microsoft direct connect (which works) and the Gnucash (which does not): OFXHEADER version and appid/version.
18:31:31 <wolfemi1> MS uses version 200, which looks like it has different header info and requires closing tags, while Gnucash uses version 100.
18:32:30 <wolfemi1> The appid/version in MS Money 2007 is MONEY/1600, while Gnucash's is QWIN/1200. Is there any way to change either of these values and see if they work?

19:21:50 <hauptmat> newb A/R problem: Income:Sales transaction entries show zero even though the other side of the transaction (an A/R account) shows the correct amount. What am I missing?

19:39:16 <epstudios> hello?
19:41:39 <epstudios> anyone in here?
19:42:32 <hauptmat> Ya but no
19:42:59 <epstudios> ? hauptmat
19:43:36 <hauptmat> Waiting for a question to get answered so; I am here but probably not much help.
19:43:38 <epstudios> i was curious about GNUcash I"m looking for an opensource accounting program that I can run on a mac or pc or online(preferably) i need it to send auto statements to clients can GNU do any of that?
19:46:06 <jsled> epstudios: "GNU" generally means the Free Software Foundation's GNU's Not Unix project. We're GnuCash. :)
19:46:27 <jsled> We don't have a web interface if you mean "[run] online", but there are versions for Windows and Mac.
19:46:29 <epstudios> right, but i've seen some GNU stuff on MAC
19:46:45 <epstudios> ok well thanks anyway got any suggestions?
19:47:07 <jsled> GnuCash doesn't "send" anything if you mean via email, though it can be used to prepare, say, invoices to send out.
19:47:25 <epstudios> ok so it's not at all what i'm looking for
19:47:31 <epstudios> ok thanks
19:48:00 <jsled> hauptmat: I'll *guess* at something related to different currencies between the accounts?
19:48:58 <hauptmat> jsled: ah, yes.
19:49:32 <hauptmat> jsled: So I need an income account in a currency that matches my invoicing account?
19:49:43 *** epstudios has left #gnucash
19:49:52 <jsled> Yes. The Business features are only for a single currency.
19:52:24 <hauptmat> Is there a description of the business architecture anywhere? I've read the concepts guide and help...
19:55:12 <jsled> <http://cvs.gnucash.org/docs/HEAD/business1.html>, and rest of the API docs, linked from there
19:56:33 <hauptmat> Sweet, cheers.

20:10:24 <wolfemi1> Okay, looks like I had a hard/uninteresting question. Here's another: Is there anywhere I can get a Windows build that uses aqbanking 3? I realize porting is not finished yet, but is it in a semi-working state?
20:23:21 <jsled> wolfemi1: Theree's apparently a branches/aqbanking3/ I have no idea in what state it is. I'd bet monthy there are not windows builds of it.
20:23:27 <jsled> s/monthy/money/
20:23:47 <wolfemi1> Yeah, I thought that might be the case....
20:23:57 <wolfemi1> I really need to get my Linux box up again
20:33:29 <jsled> You could build on windows…?

20:49:07 <warlord> hauptmat: different currencies?
20:51:16 <warlord> wolfemi1: the AQB3 port isn't complete.
20:51:43 <warlord> as for the other question, go check the archives, but I *THINK* you need to recompile to change that application string.
20:52:31 <warlord> anyways, I'm off again
