00:13:13 <Azih> Is there a report in gnucash that shows a quick overview of my assets - liabilities? the cash flow report seems to treat my loans as cash in.
00:31:37 <warlord> Balance sheet?

11:00:48 <tedcx> taxable income report v 2.2.4 I get WARNING: There are duplicate TXF codes assigned to some accounts. Only TXF codes with payer sources may be repeated. (with a list of duplicates) on all reports I run after the first one. How can I fix this?
11:16:13 <tedcx> figured it out - it only wants to export one TXF code per report
11:16:48 <tedcx> can an apply button be added to edit->tax options?

14:27:15 <Bombadil> What's the most fail-safe way to get as much debugging output from Gnucash as possible?
14:29:08 <Bombadil> Any suggestions on how to debug http://bugs.debian.org/496793 ?
14:29:48 <jsled> `gnucash --debug` should be good, but `gnucash --log gnc=debug --log qof=debug` will get you probably too much.
14:30:53 <Bombadil> Does Gnucash honour the TMPDIR environment variable when creating the gnucash.trace file?
14:32:35 <jsled> We construct that path with g_build_filename(g_get_tmp_dir(), "gnucash.trace");, so it's whatever glib does; I'd imagine it does.
14:32:46 <jsled> Note that you can explicitly specify the log location with --logto.
14:32:49 <jsled> See "--help".
14:33:22 <jsled> "Gets the directory to use for temporary files. This is found from inspecting the environment variables TMPDIR, TMP, and TEMP in that order. "
14:34:18 <Bombadil> ok, thanks
14:34:57 <Bombadil> jsled: do you have any suggestion for special debugging options in this specific case?
14:36:14 <Bombadil> apparently the error occurs within gnc_module_system_init()
14:38:03 <jsled> Maybe, but I'm not sure it's realted to gnucash at all, but instead those other libs (gwenhywfar and gcrypt), and how they're all built/packaged on debian.
14:38:28 <Bombadil> yeah, that's what I'm trying to find out
14:38:29 <jsled> maybe gnucash (or some other lib) loads some other specific version of gcrypt first and that's the conflict.
14:39:05 <Bombadil> but why does it work everywhere else then?
14:40:46 <Bombadil> and the user reported that the only gcrypt installed is of version 1.4.1

15:55:20 <Bombadil> a `grep -rl GNC_DEBUG *` doesn't yield anything but documentation files. Is this environment variable documented in README outdated?
15:55:35 <Bombadil> (executed in SVN trunk)
15:56:42 <jsled> probably.
15:57:14 <jsled> but, you're not going to get any more useful logging out of gnucash.
15:57:24 <jsled> I just don't think it logs what you're after.
15:58:00 <jsled> And while we can control, as well, the output of any libraries that use glib's logging facilities, I'm not sure that there are any relevant here.
