03:01:38 <Infiltrator> I'm trying to delete an account and get the object references dialog for "Tax table GST" but when I go into Tax Tables, the list is empty (I already deleted it).
03:06:37 *** wol has joined #gnucash
03:17:26 <gjanssens> Infiltrator: did you create invoices or bills using that tax table ?
03:17:48 <Infiltrator> gjanssens: Possibly... the account is at zero; but let me check over all the bills.
03:20:09 <Infiltrator> Tax table column is empty for the items in all the bills.
03:26:57 <gjanssens> Infiltrator: hmm IIRC each time you create a bill entry with a tax table a child copy of the tax table is stored in the data file
03:27:02 <gjanssens> I am not sure if this child table is deleted when you unset the tax information for your bill entries
03:27:14 <gjanssens> So perhaps there's still a lingering (invisible) child tax table in your data file
03:27:46 <gjanssens> I don't know of any way to check this via the GUI unfortunately

04:49:02 <Infiltrator> gjanssens: How do I check it then? Hack the files?
04:49:57 <Infiltrator> Oh, actually, it could be that the tax table column is set but taxable is set to false, so it's not showing it. Checking that now.
04:50:33 <Infiltrator> Yup; that's it. It showed up.
04:51:05 <Infiltrator> Having said that, how do I remove the tax table from the item?
04:51:33 <gjanssens> Can you set it to another tax table ?
04:51:50 <gjanssens> But again, I don't know if this will remove the old tax table child
04:52:19 <gjanssens> To test you can probably make a fake tax table without any accounts linked to it
04:52:31 *** mikee_ has quit IRC
04:52:32 <gjanssens> (Better even would be to test on a copy of your file...)
04:53:10 <Infiltrator> I'd rather get rid of the tax table altogether, though.
04:53:25 <Infiltrator> Also, it won't let me create a tax table without an account.

05:31:33 <gjanssens> Ok
05:32:05 <Infiltrator> There were three tables in there. Only one showed in the GUI, though.

07:53:46 <alex> Hi, I'm trying to install gnucash-2.6.3 from the source tarball (I'm running a debian wheezy).
07:53:53 <alex> Therefore I installed gwenhywfar-4.12.0beta and aqbanking-5.4.3beta after compiling them from the tarball. I then called "configure --enable-aqbanking" in the gnucash directory and compiled it. Compiling and running "make install" does not throw any errors. But it still does not show the hbci-stuff in the menubar.
07:54:00 <alex> Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

08:19:16 <lmat> alex: I don't ignore you, but I can't help you :) I don't know what aqbanking is, nor have I built with it, nor ...

08:19:35 <lmat> alex: Nor any other xx-gnucash integration.

10:28:08 <alex> well, dont mind ... a assume that since you have aqbanking 5.4.3 installed, IBAN/BIC should work ... I guess I will just install it from there. Thank you.

13:34:23 <jralls> gjanssens: In gnc-tree-view-owner.c there's a block of functions that stores the cell renderer's text property in GncOwner's KVP. It's if-0'd out.
13:36:08 <jralls> It calls gncOwnerGetSlots(), which doesn't exist anymore, but I ignored it because it's not compiled. But for some reason swig is picking it up anyway and that causes the python binding test to fail at link time.
13:36:23 <jralls> Is it OK if I just remove those functions?

14:34:40 <lmat> Can someone recommend a commit that they know compiles and runs? ^_^
14:35:09 <lmat> for instance, gnucash/trunk and gnucash/master are on b68e261... I'll compile that version now
