07:52:34 <gjanssens> chris: are you trying to fix the ci build errors ?
07:53:04 <gjanssens> The error log suggests the problem is in c-interface.scm, but I only see you make changes in date-utilities.scm
08:06:53 <chris> gjanssens: duh yes you're right

12:37:15 <jralls_laptop> @tell gjanssesn, chris: There are two ways for guild to resolve dependencies, compiled and source. Unfortunately our recent-ish change to always using (use-modules) broke finding source files in srcdir because the source tree hierarchy doesn't match the installed one.
12:37:15 <gncbot> jralls_laptop: The operation succeeded.
12:38:35 <jralls_laptop> @tell gjanssens, chris That's forced us to rely on cmake getting the build order right and that in turn requires care in structuring the modules dependency tree.
12:38:35 <gncbot> jralls_laptop: The operation succeeded.
12:42:44 <jralls_laptop> There's a simple workaround, though: Set MAKE_LINKS when calling gnc_make_scheme_target. That puts symlinks in the builddir in the same layout as they're installed and guile is then able to find the sources. Of course it's better to have a clean acyclic dependency tree correctly documented in CMakeLists.txt, but we have a lot of technical debt there.

13:00:43 <giuseppef> in the string "Enter credit formula for real transaction" what is the exact meaning of "real"?

16:50:38 <jralls> giuseppef, Not template. Template transactions are part of scheduled transactions and are converted to real transactions when the schedule event fires. Template transactions formulas can have variables, real transaction formulas can't.
16:51:37 <jralls> However making that distinction in the edit control's help doesn't make a lot of sense.

17:31:01 <giuseppef> Thanks jralls. Can you help me with "Autodep" too?
17:32:19 <giuseppef> And, one more question: in other locales, is "budget" translated or is it used in english?
17:38:12 <jralls> giuseppef, Autodep seems to be a concatenation of automatic deposit, like when your employer automatically deposits your salary in your bank account.
17:38:35 <giuseppef> thanks
17:39:12 <jralls> I looked at de and pt. fell uses Budget as is, Pedro translates it to orçamento.
17:39:24 <giuseppef> In this week I have made a whole review of it.po using weblate. I hope this will be useful
17:40:41 <giuseppef> I have translated Budget as "Bilancio preventivo" that is the italian name, but using it when budget is an adjective creates longer strings. In Italian we use both, so I have to make a choice
17:42:20 <jralls> I don't think I can offer useful advice about that.
17:44:31 <giuseppef> I understand
17:45:07 <giuseppef> Can you just check one more thing? In customer report Debits and Credits are not translated?
17:57:30 <jralls> Looks like there's a lot of strings in new-owner-report.scm (which generates the Customer and Vendor reports): There are variables defined as (N_ "foo") but (G_) is never called on the variables. chris?

18:49:50 <chris> giuseppe fixed.
18:49:53 <chris> giuseppef fixed.
18:50:24 <giuseppef> Thanks chris. Will you generate a new .pot?
19:03:33 <chris> not me
