10:52:12 <Robert847> Hello. I have another odd issue today. I am regularly running release 4.8 in a Linux Lite 6.0 virtual machine. I am keeping my data file on a USB memory stick. I need to reboot that machine from time to time, and, for the past few days now, when I reboot and reconnect the memory stick to the virtual machine before starting GnuCash, GnuCash cannot find the file until I run whichever file manager is on that machine to view th
10:52:12 <Robert847> it's folder. Then GnuCash will open it with the File > 1. history entry. Previously I did not need to go there with the file manager first. Have you heard of any other Linux users having a similar situation?

10:57:02 <Robert847> I suspect that the path to that folder may not be getting refreshed after a reboot : plug in USB memory sequence until the file manager forces it for some reason. Is that reasonable?
