    x
x This mode uses Unix Domain Sockets which are only available
    x
x on POSIX systems (not WIN32), they can only be connected to
    x
x from the very same machine [ recommended ]
    x
     x

    x
x This mode uses SSL secured sockets.
    x
x Recommended on Windows (no Unix Domain Sockets).
    x
     x
    x
     x[ ] secure
    x
x This mode is the same as private , but it requires the
    x
x client to present a valid certificate which is looked up
    x
x in a directory on the server.
    x
x If not found access will be denied.
    x
x Use this mode if you want to be very safe. It also
    x
x allows the server to distinguish between multiple users
    x
x accessing the server thus allowing administration accounts.
    x
     x
