UI for date specification (was Re: Ping?)

How do reckon I should present an option that allows both relative and
absolute dates?  How about we have a radio button next to each of the
relative-date and the absolute-date selectors, and disable the
non-selected widget?

Oh, and how do you "turn off" a gtk widget?
