There are two problems with the idea:

1.  Nobody has stuck with the Qt-based front end to actually complete
    it.

    No developers --> No code.

2.  GnuCash is basically written using C and Scheme.  KDE's primary
    implementation languages are C++, Python, and Perl.

    There is no overlap there...
