For what it's worth, Keith, I'm running gnucash 1.4.0 under KDE which is
running on a Linux-Mandrake 7.0 installation. Seems to work just fine,
though I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a gnucash "power user".

P.S. I installed from an RPM, and had to tinker a bit with softlinks
and ended up turning off "dependancy checking" to get it to work with
newer versions of a couple of libraries (guile and readline).
