Don't mind a bit.  This is Mandrake ~8.0.  (I say ~8.0 because it started
out 7.0 and has been upgraded several times.  The upgrade to 8.0 was quite
recent, obviously.)  

gcc 2.96-0.48mdk, glibc 2.2.2-4mdk, glibc-devel 2.2.2-4mdk.  All of these
packages verify (rpm -V) with no errors, so they appear to be installed
correctly.
