word change requested for "to scrub"

I just updated the explanation for "to scrub" in the glossary. It now reads

"scrub, to"
   "DEPRECATED. To repair unbalanced transactions and orphan splits in an 
account tree. Any transactions that have debits != credits will get a 
balancing split added (pointing to a special new account called 'Imbalance'). 
Any splits that do not have accounts are put into another special account 
called 'Orphan'. Deprecated - use the word '?' now."

I'm not too sure yet. For me, "to clean up an account" still sounds a little 
bit like "to destroy an account". I would prefer a term that leaves no doubt 
on the fact that this is nothing destructive here. However, the term still 
has to make clear that indeed some action will be taken here.

"to scrutinize" [and fix]
"to verify" [and fix]
"to review" [and fix]
