missing features in 1.6.4 which were in 1.4.3

I own stocks and funds in this little known place called Finland, which
unfortunately isn't among the exchanges where one could get the quote
automatically for stuff in gnucash... I used to use an empty transfer
with 0 shares bought to set the daily price in 1.4.x, but can't do this
no more...
