Oops. This means that there are serious problems with my new code for 
calculating the exchange rates between different currencies. But maybe the 
bug lies withing the gnc-numeric functions. 

Herbert, is it possible for you to discuss that right now on #gnucash? 
And, to begin with, how many different commodities do you have in your 
gnucash file?
