   Hello!

This could be usefull, so here it goes.

This instructions are based on the following assumptions:
* Distro installed is Slackware current from after 2nd June or at least from
after upgrade to Gnome 1.4 and with the libunicode upgrade from 2nd of June
2001
* System was installed with all required packages and the FULL gtk1 series.

Instructions:
» Get gtkhtml-0.9.2 from gnome ftp server. untar,
   ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome
   make; make install
If errors about unicode stuff appear, upgrade the libunicode to the
specified above or get the latest from the gnome FTP server.

» Get Guppi-0.35.5.tar.bz2 from the gnome ftp. Untar,
   ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome
     --with-gnome-includes=/opt/gnome/includes
     --with-gnome-libs=/opt/gnome/lib
   make; make install

» Get slib2d1.zip from it's site (or GnuCash site), unzip the file and
moved the slib directory created into /usr/share/guile, resulting in having
/usr/share/guile/1.3.4 and /usr/share/guile/sl
ib.

» Get g-wrap-1.1.9 from the gnucash ftp server. Untarred it.
   ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome
   make; make install

» Get GnuCash from the GnuCash server
   ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome
     --with-gnome-includes=/opt/gnome/includes
     --with-gnome-libs=/opt/gnome/lib
   make; make install

This worked for me and I believe it will work for anyone else using slack.

Have fun!
