balance broken

Dear all,
the balance problem has been with me for some time but I have not been able to 
resolve the problem yet.
It seems that there are occasions when entering a deposit or making a 
withdrawal that the balance does not change at all. This is also 
substantiated by the report which gives a line for the deposit WITHOUT the 
sum behind it. This happens for the current CVS version and started some time 
around end of June (?). It seems that this is related to having different 
currencies in the various accounts.

How could I approach this problem?
