ok, thats what I did. Now autogen comes this far:

unning automake --gnu  ...
Running autoconf ...

**Error**: autoconf failed.

running autoconf manually :

looks ok
Then configure manually:
root(eno,gnucash)#configure
goes a long way:

This problem has been reported (as google tells me) but no solutions have been 
offered.

Any idea?
