*cough* Surely one can do that. Will you please code the necessary extra 
widget for us? :-)))) Seriously, I totally agree with you here. The thing 
only is that this would require coding your own derived Widget of GtkListItem 
(as was done for the register), whereas the click/open dialog solution would 
be as simple as writing a text string into the GtkCList. The former would 
keep me busy for next 7 days whereas the latter would keep me busy for the 
next 7 minutes. Feel free to contribute as much code yourself as you'd like 
- -- we are always in need for new developers :-))))
