GnuCash 1.7.1 alpha release!

So long as you do not use any of the new-in-1.[78] features,
1.6 should be able to read your datafile just fine.  In other
words, so long as you don't use Scheduled Transactions or any
of the Business Accounting features, 1.6 should read it fine.
