Problem with make distcheck

I'm not sure exactly why. What I did notice is that the po/Makefile.in.in 
patch fails. I discovered this while looking for the intltool changes to 
this file that christian was suggesting. It appeared to me that none of 
the intltool things that were supposed to be in this file were there. As 
it still built I didn't think this a problem at the time.
Did you run make distcheck? Was that on RH9 or an earlier version?
