On the contrary, see ofx spec 1.6, chapter 14 on bill presentment.  The basic 
relevant example is on page 532.  However, that chapter isn't implemented yet 
in libofx.  But I think everything is there for customer management and 
invoicing (well, actually we would have to reverse the meaning of the billers 
and electronic bills since you'd want gnucash to treat them as an invoice, 
not as a bill).  But the protocol would even allow you to export gnucash's 
customer list to gnotime.
