How does this look (see below). It points the user to the web site
and/or the README file, the detailed instructions have been removed.
I still think the situation is sub-optimal in terms of documentation for
gnucash. What I mean is that it seems like we have stuff on the web
site, in the text files in the main source body (README, docs/), and in
gnucash-docs package. Because of this, often you get different
information depending on where you look. It would be nice if we could
*build* the README file, and the web site... from gnucash-docs...
But, that is not something I want to deal with for now. For now, I just
want online help that is complete. :)

<title>Installation</title>
<para>
Installation of GnuCash can be simple, as most modern linux
distributions come with gnucash precompiled and ready to go. In fact,
most likely, GnuCash is already installed. If you do not have GnuCash
installed, the simplest method for installing it is to insert the
installation CD that came with your distribution and follow the
instructions.

The <ulink url="http://www.gnucash.org/pub/gnucash/"><citetitle>gnucash
web site</citetitle></ulink> contains detailed instructions on how to
install GnuCash in the event your current distribution does not include
it, or if you want to install a different version. You can also read
the README file in the source code.
