Thanks Derek.

I've removed that, now I'm back to the original linkage problem. It compiles
fine, just won't link:

basic.o(.text+0x16): In function `gnc_book_merge_run_query':
/opt/neil/gnucash/src/import-export/gnc-book-merge/basic.c:15: undefined
reference to `qof_sql_query_run'
basic.o(.text+0xa0): In function `gnc_book_merge_do_some_queries':
/opt/neil/gnucash/src/import-export/gnc-book-merge/basic.c:28: undefined
reference to `qof_sql_query_new'
undefined reference to `qof_sql_query_set_book'
undefined reference to `qof_sql_query_destroy'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [basic] Error 1

I haven't had to change basic.c or Makefile.am (except for the removal of
-lqof ) and I've re-run autogen.sh and make since removing libqof-dev.
(The copy of Makefile.am on codehelp has been updated too).

It must be an error in my Makefile, AFAICT, because the rest of CVS HEAD
completes make without errors.
