I was using the sorce code form CVS. If you are going this way you need
to install a bunch of gnome 1 devel packages (included in SuSE 9.1
professional, but not installed by default) and you have to download
Guppi (http://www.gnome.org/projects/guppi/). After all dependencies
are installed, there are no problems compiling GnuCash (if you use
latest CVS, the 1.8.9 tarball has a problem with the version of slib
from SuSE).
A GnuCash 1.8.8 rpm package comes with SuSE 9.1. I did not test this,
but I know of no problems with this package. Did you have problems
with this package?
