Error building GC - invalid path for library

I'm trying to rebuild G2 and I am getting an error message building the 
source (Rev 12166) with the following error message:
    libtool: link: cannot find the library
    `/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.0.1/../../..//libpopt.la'
    make[4]: *** [libcore-utils.la] Error 1

The path to the library is incorrect on my system (FC4).  It should 
instead be
   /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.0.2/../../..//libpopt.la

Needless to say, my version of gcc is 4.0.2. :-)
