svn-update, what to do next?

Hello,
I am sure this is a question of beginners.
I read the http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Translation.
I have done the svn checkout, ./autogen.sh, make, make install and I was
successful, gnucash workes and (after the same with gnucash-docs) I read
the german translations.
Now I make a svn update (of gnucash) and my question is: do I do all the
steps again to get the newest gnucash running?
(I think so, but I'm not sure.)
