G2 testing : lock up while NOT saving file

Here is another crash when opening one of my existing data files. Crash 
occurs during report rendering of the original open process. There are 
no warnings of any kind, just the stuff below in the terminal and the 
gnucash window vanishes w/o a trace.

  I have some concern about the gnucash: [W] lines below and I wonder if 
they are related somehow? might also explain graphing problems I'm having.
