No, it really is a different number of files, as calculated from grep -c.

See other thread, I think it's just gnucash.pot, *.gmo and a rather worrying
lack of lib/glib26 in the Mac tarball. It won't cause any trouble to put
those few files as a redundant EXTRA_DIST, would it?
I expected a difference from compression but a total of 1.4Mb would mean extra
compression on Debian of some 20% over Fedora - seemed unlikely.
