Specifically, in configure.in:
+                       -e 's|^module_cmds=.*|module_cmds=|g' \

By the way, /usr/bin/libtool on darwin has no relation whatever to gnu
libtool, it is part of cctools and has been around since the NeXT days. Gcc
calls ths libtool to make shared libraries, also, ranlib is a symlink to it.
That's why gnu libtool is installed as glibtool.
