I can't use GnomeApp - it's not available to either cashutil or pilotqof - 
it's part of libgnomeui and QOF is NOT part of Gnome, nor do cashutil or 
pilotqof have any gui, gnome or not.

glib provides g_set_progname but it has no default value. I could make that 
part of the API but, TBH, I prefer PACKAGE.

My only dependencies are glib and libxml2 - neither provide anything that 
matches PACKAGE.

I can put something in the README and doxygen output but other than that, I 
only have PACKAGE.
