No problem. That's what a "developer" SVN is for. I will verify the
1.8.12 file compatibility over the weekend. Shouldn't be necessary for
you to build a 1.8.x again -- IMHO it's sufficient to test that with a
few days delay.
Does that mean 1.9.4 shipped with this problem? If yes, then for anyone
who needs to fix this manually: The workaround is to open the 1.9.4
datafile with a text editor (potentially running "gunzip -c
compressedfile > cleartextfile" beforehand) and completely removing the
lines that 1.8.12 complained about. Then open the edited cleartextfile
with 1.8.12 and continue working with it.
