A Lot is...  Hmm..  How do I describe it?  Umm..   Maybe an example.
When you buy some stock at once, you need to keep track of those shares
separately than some stock you buy a week later.  Each "purchase" is
a Lot.

These are shorthand for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable,
aka. Payables and Receivables.  Yes, these are where Invoices and Bills
go after you post them and before they are paid.
