Just so that credit is given where credit is due it was Chris, not I,
who made this change:

[warlord at cliodev src]$ svn blame configure.in | grep GUILE_MODULE_AV
14022      chris GUILE_MODULE_AVAILABLE(gnc_have_guile_www,[(www main)])

So, look at revision 14022 for this change.
