to make a diff, cd to the root of your source tree (on my box thats ~/gnucash). type something like:

~/gnucash$ svn diff src/<Rest of path to file>/easy-invoice.scm  > easy_inv.diff


and that will generate the diff and cram it in a file for you, located at the root of your source tree.

There is probably some better way, but that's how I do it.
