At the time when that windows trial was completed, all of these
dependencies were resolved. But since that the dependencies have changed
again and nobody (including me) tried compiling on windows again.

There's some helpful command lines at the bottom of the HACKING file
that were useful in figuring out missing libraries for that windows
porting effort.
