I agree that the user's list should get informed as well, but I also do not
like the idea of two announcements - one for the tarballs and one for the
windows build.....

I think the initial announcment is a bit misleading when it states (under
getting gnucash) "For the Microsoft Windows operating system, a
self-installing setup program is available which includes all necessary
additional libraries."

Chris, could we change this to say that the windows versions _will be_
available within the next few days?
Ideally I'd like to get the windows build out the same day...but the
tarballs will inevitably go up first (and then I'll build from them). Also,
if anything go awry, I would like to have a day or two to recover. This will
allow us to get back two a single announcement and be more precise about the
availability.
