Because that is the first step in helping develop it.
On my old Windows XP machine, I could run either the binary installed file
or the version I compiled myself. It used the same set of data files.
I have just downloaded the 2.2.1 binary installer onto my Windows Vista
machine. That works, except for the data file issue which I have addressed
in another email.
