Bug 350408: Printing still broken

Greetings,

There's a rising tide of outrage on Bugzilla over this bug, which has 
been present since 2.0.0 and continues to cripple invoice/report printing:

This *really* needs to be fixed before 2.2.0, and comment #15 above even 
  has a patch for doing so.  I'll be happy to donate some money if it 
will help!
