trunk doesn't compile

This symbol doesn't exist in trunk.  It looks like you're
linking against an older version of the libraries that live in
/usr/local/lib.

I recommend you uninstall all your old gnucash from /usr/local
and then try again.   Better yet, use a --prefix to load into
something like /opt/gnucash
