Can anyone reproduce this?  I can't, the original poster can, and I don't know 
enough about gtk to tell him where to look.

Yes, it occurs with that file. I saved the file to a different name and loaded
the newly named file and had the same thing occur. 

I did however notice something that I had not seen before. I thought the
Account name column extended all the way across until the the biweekly date
columns. In fact there is a huge white space between the Account columns and
the date columns whereas the Account Name columnm has alternating dark and
light grey rows as do the biweekly data columns. The alternating light and 
dark
grey rows will appear briefly when I click in that area if I go and click there
from the Account Name column.

Could this be some kind of a graphics driver problem?
