"Unable to load page" on report hot-links in latest build

Something done in the development series with reporting causes the
following message to show in reports when a hot-link on a report is
clicked:

"Unable to load page

Problem occurred while loading the URL
gnc-register:acct-guid=f44442f4a638f64899725be9fe687f77#

URL cannot be shown"

I tried this with a hot-linked account on the balance sheet report. It
did actually open the register for the account in a new tab and switch
to it, as expected, but this is what showed on the report tab (had to
reload the report to get it back). This was with 2.3.5, r18305, no
local changes.

On 2.2.9 it works like it always did before: that is, it opens the
register and switches to it in a new tab and the report tab stays just
like it was, but with the selected account high-lighted.

So this appears to be an error introduced with the recent changes in
the reporting infrastructure.
