Absolutely. I think this sort of clean-up is a good thing in any case. Applied 
the patch as r18310 - thanks a lot.

In the rest of the source this is probably one of the immedate benefits of a 
re-indentation with astyle - all such extra trailing whitespaces should be 
trimmed by astyle everywhere.
