Proposals/feedback for a distributed version control system for cutecash?

I would vote for git, but I must admit that that is because I am
familiar with it and agree with Christian on the tools.  I have not
tried bazaar in earnest.

Is switching gnucash itself over to git not an option, or is that a
delicate issue?  Then it could all be on github.
