Readding a string recently removed == breaking string freeze ?

This is related to bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=634906.

I recently removed the preference to Disable/Enable the splash screen after
receiving no comments on my original proposal to do so.

Now the option is gone, several people voiced their disagreement with the
removal, so I plan to restore the option. GnuCash is not my software after
all, but our software.

Trouble is, since the removal we had release 2.3.16, and with that the 2.3.16
po file was submitted to the translation project. This po file had the strings
related to the splash screen preference removed, hence they are no longer in
any of the translated po files either.

Restoring the option also means re-introducing the translatable strings.
Although they used to be translated, they aren't anymore now. So I guess
restoring the option results in a string freeze break, right ?

How should I deal with this ? Re-introduce the option only after 2.4 is out ?

Geert
