Installing Python Bindings

I removed glib-1.8 and glib-1.8-dev and then installed glib-1.6, the dev and
also glib-1.6-slib and that fixed it.  got through make install but it ended
in the same missing library error (from before).

My final attempt is installing from the parIT repo (
http://parit.ca/projects/pythongnucash/) even though it is for ubuntu dapper
(6.somethig) and I am running jaunty (9.04).  This failed also.  I tried
adding the old dapper repos to my /etc/apt/sources.list with no luck.
Havent found anything in google that says what repo I might add to find
these.
