I don't see anything suspicious there.  /etc/gnucash/config is empty and 
/etc/gnucash/environment is mostly PATH settings.  There's one line 
about deprecated warnings, but that seems unlikely :
# Prevent embedded guile from issuing deprecation warnings
GUILE_WARN_DEPRECATED=no
