2.4 and sqlite...

I tried with --disable-docs.  The package build still fails, but at
least it gets as far as making the libraries.  If I copy the libraries
in place by hand, it does, in fact, solve the problem.

For the record, the only change I made was to remove -ffast-math (and
later added --disable-docs).

Now if I could only get the package to build so I distribute to others
(and my other machines).  I'll take up the package issue with the ubuntu
people.
