John,

I guess I expressed myself poorly. I'm not talking about autogenerated 
wrappers, but a file written by the python-bindings maintainer (check out 
optional/python-bindings/gnucash-core.py).

I don't know the python bindings very well, but I suspect the file serves to 
make the engine functions available to python in a way that is more intuitive 
in python. This file explicitly mentions some of the functions you removed in 
some "object dictionaries".

So if you go through your changes,can you also check this file ?
